WHAT IS SOLIDARY ECONOMY?
Solidary economy is defined as the "set of economic activities - production , distribution , consumption , savings and credit - organized in the form of self - management ." It comprises a variety of economic and social practices organized in the form of cooperatives , associations , exchange clubs, self-managed companies, cooperation networks, among others, which carry out activities in the production of goods, provision of services, solidary finances, exchanges, fair trade and solidary consumption. [1] It is a way of organizing the production, consumption and distribution of wealth centered on valuing the human being and not on capital , characterized by equality.
